A guiding word for the youth of Muslims.

The youth in our present time are targeted in all their affairs. What word does His Eminence Shaykh Al-Fawzan direct to the youth of the ummah (the Muslim community)?

Answer:
Answer: There is no doubt that the youth of Muslims are targeted by deviant groups, errant groups, and groups that hold extremist ideas. Every group seeks to draw the youth of Muslims to it, so one must be cautious of these groups. We have only one group: the group of the people of the Sunnah and the community, and what the Salaf (the earliest generations) were upon, and what this country is built upon in terms of security, stability, obedience to the one in authority, enjoining good and forbidding evil. These are the foundations of security, praise be to Allah, and ruling by the purified Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law). These are the foundations of security. As for following ideas: so-and-so's idea and so-and-so's idea, such-and-such a group and such-and-such a group, we must reject these matters and protect our youth from these groups and these differing and extremist ideas. We must protect them. Today, the youth are in need of protection from these groups and these ideas that snatch them away. Whoever tends a flock in a land with lions and sleeps over it, the lion takes over its tending.
