Seeking Blessing from the Grave

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Noble Shaykh, when does seeking blessing from the grave become minor shirk or major shirk?

Answer:
If one believes that the grave grants the blessing, then it is major shirk. However, if one believes that the blessing comes from Allah, and the grave is merely a means, then it is minor shirk and a means to major shirk. If one believes that the blessing comes from Allah and that the grave is a cause for the blessing, then it is minor shirk and a path to major shirk. But if one believes that the grave grants the blessing and that the deceased gives the blessing, then it is major shirk. This is the state of those who worship graves today; they believe that the dead give, withhold, and act.
