Is it permissible to seek blessing from the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : Is it permissible to seek blessing at the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : Yes, seeking blessing from the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) by greeting him is a blessing. You say, "Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings," without touching the iron and without believing that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) benefits you. Nothing benefits you except faith in the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), loving the Messenger, and following the Messenger. As for the chamber and its walls, do not touch them and do not seek blessing from them. This chamber, my brothers, was not built until after the death of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And this window was not installed until much later. How can we go to something imaginary that has no reality? It is strange that some of the common people rub against this window or believe that there is a blessing in it, and they forget that all the blessing and all the good is in following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Among the wonders is that some people strive with utmost effort in physical relics that may not be established, but they are lazy in the spiritual relics, which are the acts of worship that Allah the Exalted prescribed through the tongue of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). I mean, if you ask this common person, for example, the ignorant one, you say: "Come, how did the Prophet perform ablution?" He says: "I do not know. How did he pray?" He says: "I do not know." So know the Sunnah of that which you are commanded to do and follow his traces, for it is better for you than these things that you claim are a blessing and are the traces of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), even though it is not known, and indeed, we are certain that some of them are after the time of the Messenger, such as the chamber. Yes.
