Clarification that the reward for voluntary fasting is less than the reward for obligatory fasting

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q467: The questioner asks: Is the reward for fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, the white days, and voluntary fasting the same as the reward for fasting in this noble month of Ramadan?
A467: It is not like fasting in Ramadan, but voluntary acts, whether fasting or otherwise from what Allah has prescribed, have great merit, but they do not reach the reward of the obligatory act. The obligatory act is better. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said in the Holy Hadith:
My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him, and my servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts until I love himما تقرب إليَّ عبدي بشيء أحب إلي مما افترضته عليه، ولا يزال عبدي يتقرب إليَّ بالنوافل حتى أحبه
to the end of the hadith.
