He experienced doubt regarding the dawn while intending to eat the pre-dawn meal

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first and fourth questions of Fatwa number ( 16328 )
Q1: A man experienced doubt regarding the dawn, while he intended to eat the pre-dawn meal , so what should he do?
A1: The default ruling is that the night remains, so it is permissible for a person to eat and do other things, and it is not obligatory for him to abstain until the dawn becomes clear to him by sight or by hearing a trustworthy mu'adhdhin call to prayer upon the dawn.
Q4: What is the supplication required of the fasting person before he begins to break his fast ?
A4: It is prescribed to make supplication when breaking the fast, and among that is what is in Sunan Abu Dawud from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said:
the Prophet said when he broke his fast, “Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if God wills.”كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أفطر قال: ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
Mishkat al-Masabih 1993
, and from Mu'adh ibn Zuhrah who said:
when the Prophet broke his fast he said, “O God, for Thee I have fasted and with Thy provision I have broken my fast.”كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أفطر قال: اللهم لك صمت وعلى رزقك أفطرت
Mishkat al-Masabih 1994
It was narrated by Abu Dawud with a weak chain, and it is recommended to increase in supplication with what Allah has made easy for him of good supplications; because the fasting person has an accepted supplication during his fasting and when he breaks his fast.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
