Nosebleeds During Fasting
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 21642 )
Q1: I suffer from nosebleeds when the weather is hot, and at times when I sniffle during wudu, which forces me to raise my head high, causing the blood to flow into my stomach. Is this forbidden, and am I falling under the noble verse:[Al-Ma'idah 5:3] And when I am fasting, is my fast valid or not?
A1: Blood that reaches your throat due to a nosebleed or otherwise, without your intention, carries no sin for you, but try to expel it from your mouth as much as you can.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
