The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20385 )
Q2: Does a man and his wife fast after the husband has had intercourse with his wife, but they slept until the dawn broke without performing the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity ?
A2: If intercourse occurs between the spouses at the end of the night before the dawn breaks, and they intend to fast when the dawn breaks while they have not performed the full ritual bath, the intention to fast is valid, and they should perform the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity afterwards. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
