Q1: A man, while fasting in Ramadan, engaged in direct intimacy with his wife without penetration, and a small amount of semen was released from him. What is required of him?
A1: If a man engages in direct intimacy with his wife during the day in Ramadan while fasting and ejaculates, his fast is invalid. It is obligatory for him to make up this day by abstaining from food and drink until the sun sets. He must also repent to Allah and not return to such an act, because it is obligatory for the fasting person to preserve his fast. His wife is in the same position if she also ejaculated. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
