The first question of Fatwa number ( 16339 )
Q1: An unmarried young man fell into sin, meaning he committed zina, and it was two hours before dawn. He was unable to perform ghusl, but he ate the pre-dawn meal and intended to fast until morning. He purified himself from major ritual impurity three and a half hours before the call to the midday prayer. What is the ruling on his fast?
A1: Zina is a major sin, and its guilt is great. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Isra 17:32] , so it is obligatory for the Muslim to stay away from it and from its means and causes. Whoever falls into it must hasten to sincere repentance and righteous deeds, and to guard his private parts from what Allah has forbidden. As for what the questioner mentioned regarding his remaining in a state of major ritual impurity until he ate the pre-dawn meal and fasted when dawn broke, his fast is valid. However, it is not permissible for him to leave the dawn prayer and delay the ghusl
until the midday prayer. Rather, it is obligatory for him to hasten to perform ghusl and pray the dawn prayer, along with repenting to Allah from zina and not returning to it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way.
