Ruling on raising the finger when the Name of Allah is mentioned during the imam's recitation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q397: The questioner Muhammad from Jeddah says: Many of the worshippers, when the imam recites in the prayer and mentions the Name of Allah, raise their index finger. Is this in accordance with the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A397: What is reported from the guidance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is raising the finger during the tashahhud, and when the Name of Allah is mentioned, raising it as a sign of tawhid (the oneness of Allah). As for raising it in the other actions of the prayer, this has not been reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
