Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q422: The questioner B. A. A. 'A says: Is it better for the imam to depart immediately after the prayer toward the direction of the ma'mum (those praying behind him), or should he wait a little?
A422: It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when he departed from his prayer, he would seek forgiveness three times and say:
"O Allah, You are As-Salam, and from you is As-Salam. You are blessed, O One of Magnificence and Generosity."اللهم أنت السلام ومنك السلام تباركت يا ذا الجلال والإكرام
Sunan Abi Dawud 1512Sahih (Al-Albani)
while facing the qiblah, and then he would turn to the ma'mum after that.
