Explaining the Time for Night Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q303: The questioner says: She prays about five rak'ahs before sleeping, and sometimes seven rak'ahs, maintaining this every day, and she does not stand in prayer at the end of the night. Is this considered night prayer?
A303: The night prayer is from the beginning of the night to its end; the whole of it is the time for night prayer. However, delaying the night prayer to the end of the night is better for one who is confident that he will wake up, than praying at the beginning of the night. As for one who is not confident that he will wake up, he should pray and perform the witr, praying what is easy for him and concluding with the witr at the beginning of the night. If it is decreed that he wakes up at the end of the night, he should also pray what is easy for him and be content with the first witr.
