Q4: If a person dies and one of his relatives intends to perform 'Umrah, dedicating its reward to the deceased , is his 'Umrah valid, and will its reward, with Allah's permission, reach this deceased person?
A4 : It is permissible to perform 'Umrah on behalf of a deceased person by one who has already performed 'Umrah for himself as the 'Umrah of Islam, and its reward reaches the deceased if Allah the Exalted accepts it, and likewise Hajj
is permissible on behalf of a deceased Muslim by one who has already performed Hajj for himself. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
