Naming with Qabil and Habil
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 19613 )
Q2: Is it permissible for a Muslim to name his children Qabil and Habil?
A2: There is nothing wrong with a man naming his son (Habil or Qabil); because there is no objection in these two names, and because the original ruling regarding names is permissibility, except for what contains an ugly meaning or is specifically prohibited. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
