The father gives his son his sacrifice; does it suffice for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 19350 )
Q3: During the festival of sacrifice, my father gives me a sacrificial animal from his flock. Knowing that I am independent from my father, I want an answer to this?
A3: If your father gives you one of his sheep to sacrifice on behalf of yourself and your family, there is no harm in accepting your father's gift to please him, even if you do not need it. It suffices for you and your family. Your father must give your brothers the same as you if you have brothers, unless they permit him not to, if they are guided, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.اتقوا الله واعدلوا بين أولادكم
Sahih al-Bukhari 2587
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
