The pilgrim who intends to sacrifice: if he wishes to enter the state of ihram, should he take from his hair and nails?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 20776 )
Q1: If a pilgrim intends to sacrifice and reaches the miqat, is it permissible for him to take from his hair and nails?
A1: It is not permissible for one who intends to sacrifice to take anything from his hair or nails once the ten days of Dhul Hijjah have entered, until he slaughters his sacrificial animal; due to the prohibition of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding that. If he wishes to enter the state of ihram, he enters it without taking anything from them. And when he exits the state of ihram from the 'Umrah before slaughtering the sacrificial animal, he shaves his head or shortens it only, without taking anything from the rest of his hair or nails; because shaving the head or shortening it is a ritual of the 'Umrah. As for the one who sacrifices on behalf of another by agency, there is nothing upon him regarding taking from his hair, nails, or skin. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
