A2: If your father was able to make up the fasts but did not, there is no harm in your fasting on his behalf; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Riyad as-Salihin 1858 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim from the hadith of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
