The ruling on the fasting of a woman with post-natal bleeding if the bleeding stops before forty days

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: A woman was experiencing post-natal bleeding, and she became pure before completing the forty-day waiting period. She performed the full ritual bath and fasted the remainder of Ramadan after seeing that she had become pure. It was said to her: You must repeat the fasting for the days you fasted before completing the forty days. What is the legal ruling in this matter? Does she have to repeat the fasting or not? And is it permissible to have intercourse after purity before completing the forty days or not? And if she becomes pure from menstruation before completing seven days, is it permissible to have intercourse or not?

Answer: If the situation is as you described, that she saw purity before the completion of the forty days, and she performed the full ritual bath and fasted, then her fasting for the days before completing the forty-day period is valid, and she owes no making up of fasts. There is no blame on her for having intercourse with her husband during those days—that is, after purity and the full ritual bath, before the forty days. Likewise, there is no blame on having intercourse with a woman who has become pure from menstruation before seven days.
