Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q254: The questioner asks: Did the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) mention the conditions and stories of the prophets to his Companions during their lifetimes?
A254: This is something Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) mentioned in the Qur'an; He mentioned the biographies and stories of the prophets to strengthen the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and those who believed with him. Likewise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes narrate the news of the prophets to his Companions so that they might take a lesson from them.
