Putting on the burqa by mistake before cutting the hair
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 19293 )
Q: I performed 'Umrah in the blessed month of Ramadan. When I finished the tawaf and sa'y, I intended to cut a little of my hair, but I could not find scissors at the Haram . So I went to the car in the parking spot at the Adl parking lot, intending to cut my hair there. However, when I arrived at the car, I forgot to cut my hair. I replaced the covering on my face, which I had worn while in ihram, with another sewn covering (the burqa). Before leaving the car parking spot, I remembered, so I cut my hair while the burqa was still on my face. I did not remove it, and it remained on me until I arrived at my residence in Riyadh . I ask your eminence to clarify the ruling in this matter, and whether
there is anything required of me in this? May Allah preserve you.
A : If a woman in ihram puts on the burqa by mistake, she owes nothing; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:286] and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan ad-Daraqutni 23:30 But if she remembers, it is obligatory for her to remove the burqa. If she does not remove it after remembering, it is obligatory for her to pay the expiation, which is slaughtering a sheep that is acceptable for the 'Id sacrifice, and distributing it to the poor of the Haram, or feeding six poor people from the poor of the Haram , giving each poor person one and a half kilograms of food, or fasting for three days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.
رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَاMy nation has been excused for error, forgetfulness, and what they were forced to do
عفي لأمتي عن الخطأ والنسيان وما استكرهوا عليه
