Q1: If a person is saving money to perform Hajj, and a lunar year passes over this money before it is complete, is there zakah on it?
A1: If this wealth reaches the nisab and a lunar year passes over it, zakah becomes obligatory on it. The fact that it is being saved for Hajj does not prevent the obligation of zakah on it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
