The Ruling on the Farewell Tawaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17128 )
Q2: I went with my wife to perform Hajj, and the journey was with a group, and I was tied to them for the trip both ways. I was not responsible for the car or for moving. They were in a hurry, and I was unable to make my wife perform the Farewell Tawaf for two reasons: A - Her extreme exhaustion as a result of the Hajj rites, and the accommodation was not comfortable. B - The haste of the people and their request to move, and I had no place of residence or means of movement other than them, and I had previously paid the full costs to them. Therefore, I decided to take my wife with me in the following Ramadan immediately, and we performed 'Umrah, and I asked her to perform a Farewell Tawaf after the completion of the rites for the Tawaf she left in our Hajj. Does this suffice?
A2 : It is obligatory for your wife to pay an expiation for leaving the Farewell Tawaf, which is a sacrificial animal that is acceptable for the 'Id sacrifice, slaughtered in Makkah and distributed to the poor, along with repentance
and seeking forgiveness. Her Tawaf after her journey with the intention of the previous Tawaf does not suffice for the Tawaf she left; because the obligation became established upon her by her journey to her place of residence before performing the obligatory Tawaf. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
