Ruling on saying "Blessing has visited us"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q65: What is the ruling on phrases that the common people say, for example: (Blessing has visited us, You have blessed us)?
A65: The word "tabarak" (blessed) is not permissible except for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Allah the Exalted said:
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَالَمِينَ نَذِيرًا
[Al-Furqan 25:1]
, and He said:
Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent -تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
[Al-Mulk 67:1]
, and He said:
Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
[Al-Mu'minun 23:14]
, so the term "tabarak" is not used except for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). As for the phrase "You are blessed" or "Blessing has visited us through your visit," there is nothing wrong with that, as it is a form of optimism.
