Paying the zakah of a person's wealth without his permission

Fatwa number ( 19899 )
Q: Allah has decreed that I work with the money of others, and a lunar year has passed over it, but he did not give me permission to pay the zakah, so I paid it. Does this payment suffice for me or for him?
A : Paying the zakah of your owner's wealth without his permission does not absolve him of the obligation. He must pay the zakah himself or appoint you as his agent in this matter. You must compensate him for what you paid out of his wealth as zakah without his permission, unless he forgives you for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
