Paying Zakah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: A person in the early part of his life, neglected paying the zakah, knowing that he did not possess a large amount of wealth, but zakah was obligatory upon him and he did not know the amount of these assets. Today he wants to clear his conscience and pay the zakah on these assets, so he estimates them with an increase. Does this clear his conscience? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A2: If he does not know the amount of the wealth for which he did not pay zakah in the past, and zakah is obligatory on it as the questioner mentioned, then he should estimate it based on what is most likely in his opinion, exercise caution, and pay its zakah. His conscience will be cleared by this, if Allah wills, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
