Q: People come to charitable organizations and donate clothes and foodstuffs, and some of them designate them for a specific country, such as: Somalia , or Bosnia and Herzegovina , or for poor countries abroad. We see that some of the officials at these organizations, when a beggar asks for material assistance in this country, give him from these materials designated for the countries mentioned above. What is the ruling on this action, and may Allah reward you with good?
A: If the donations are designated for specific people or parties, it is obligatory to disburse them to those for whom they were designated.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
