Do you pay the tribal deputy, who eats it and feeds it to the livestock?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 21365 )
Q2: We have a tribal deputy to whom we give the zakat of dates. He sells the zakat and eats its price, and gives some of it to the sheep. My question is: Do we give him the zakat, or who do we give it to? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good. .
A2 : It is prescribed for you to pay the zakat and distribute it to the eligible recipients yourselves; because that is an act of worship, and it is the safest for your conscience. It is permissible to give the zakat to one who is trusted in his religion and his trustworthiness so that he may distribute it to the eligible recipients. However, if the agent is not trustworthy, it is not permissible to give it to him, and your conscience is not cleared by doing so. By this, it is known that giving it to the tribal deputy and doing what you mentioned is not permissible. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
