Q: Is it obligatory for me to give zakah on my wealth to my brother to help him with his marriage ? Knowing that he lives with his father and mother.
A : There is nothing wrong with helping your brother with his marriage from your zakat if he is unable to marry because of his poverty, and his father has not married him off while he fears for himself from fitnah; because he falls under the legitimate categories of zakat. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
