Question 4 of Fatwa No. ( 20948 )
Q4: After my father passed away, my relatives bought a car for me and my orphan brothers, and I am currently using the car for my personal benefit and the benefit of
my brothers as well. Is it permissible for me to use it for my personal benefit,
given that I am unable to buy a car that belongs to me? And how should the expenses for this car be handled? Are they to be paid from my account, or from the general expenses of the heirs?

A4: If the relatives who bought the car for you allow you to use it for your personal benefit, then there is no blame on you in doing so. If they do not allow you to do so, then it is not permissible to use it except for the benefit of your brothers. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
