The zakah of each partner is tied to his share without regard to his other partner

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q3: A man has a piece of land, and another man was working on that man’s land. They agreed that the landowner would receive four-tenths (4/10) and the worker would receive six-tenths (6/10) of every sack of their harvest of rice or corn. How do they pay their zakah? Do they pay it before the division, or does each one pay his zakah after the division?
A3: The zakah of each partner is tied to his share without regard to his other partner. If his share of the harvest reaches the nisab (minimum threshold for zakah) as mentioned in the answer to the second question, then zakah is obligatory on it; otherwise, it is not. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
