Leaving Night Prayer and the Regular Voluntary Prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 18098 )
Q 1: Five years ago, Allah granted me guidance, so I was, praise be to Allah, diligent in observing the obligatory acts and many of the voluntary ones, such as: standing in night prayer, voluntary fasting in its various forms, and dhikr (remembrance of Allah). But for about two years now, I have left all these voluntary acts, even the regular voluntary prayers (rawatib), and my faith has weakened to the point that I have dared to commit some sins... So I now only perform the obligatory prayers and nothing else with them, not even the dhikr, and I often regret it and remind myself of the days of obedience and their sweetness. Then my soul speaks to me saying that the door is open and the term of life is far off, even though my companions are righteous and chosen, but I have not told them of my state, and I
hate the company of the wicked and never sit with them nor do I desire them. The reason for all that I have mentioned is weakness in my faith , even though I am a student of knowledge and I understand many matters, but unfortunately, is there any advice you can give me to protect me? May Allah reward you.

A 1: You must repent to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, from the sins you have committed, and resume the obedience and uprightness you were upon, with patience and steadfastness in that, and seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan and his whispers. Allah will help you and guide you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
