The Best Witr

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18364 )
Q2: Is it permissible to delay the witr prayer after the 'Isha' prayer until the middle of the night, or to delay it until the first adhan for the Fajr prayer? Sometimes I used to do this; sometimes I would wake up and pray it, and sometimes I would not wake up. If I remember it a few minutes before the Fajr prayer or after it, should I pray it or leave it? I used to leave it if I remembered it a few minutes before the Fajr prayer or after it. Is there any sin on me for what I did, and should I make it up? Please inform us, may Allah reward you, and may Allah bless your knowledge.
J2: The best time for the witr prayer is at the end of the night for one who is confident he will get up, and at the beginning of the night for one who is not confident he will get up. When the dawn appears, the time for witr ends. If he makes it up during the 'Duha time, that is better, but he must make it an even number by making three four, and five six, and so on, with the taslim after every two rak'ahs.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
