Denouncing Sin with Gentleness and Softness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q70: What is the obligation of an employee toward his colleagues when they commit certain sins during work, such as smoking, backbiting, listening to musical instruments, and looking at women on television? And what is the ruling on sitting with them if he advises them and they do not respond, especially if there is no other place to sit?
A70: It is obligatory for him to advise them and denounce them with gentleness and softness, explaining the prohibition of these actions and the consequences of falling into what is wrong and persisting in it. If they respond, praise be to Allah; otherwise, it is obligatory for him to leave the place where the wrong is occurring, and it is not permissible for him to sit with them while they are engaged in what is wrong. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people.
