The first question of Fatwa number ( 17290 )
Q 1: If a person is praying an obligatory prayer in the mosque, in the first or second row, and suddenly passes wind, does he have to leave? And if he leaves, is it permissible for him to walk between the rows? And if it is permissible, does it invalidate the prayers of the others?
A 1 : If one passes wind while in prayer, he must leave, perform wudu, and restart the prayer from the beginning, because his wudu has been invalidated. As for one who doubts whether he passed wind, he does not leave, but continues in his prayer; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 361 And his exiting from between the rows does not invalidate their prayers.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
