Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 21550 )
Q 1: If a Muslim man or woman performs Sujud al-Tilawah outside of prayer, should he or she raise his or her hands to the level of the shoulders, as is done at the Takbir al-Ihram, or what should be done? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.
A 1: It is recommended to say Takbir for Sujud al-Tilawah outside of prayer, as this was reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but without raising the hands, as this attribute was not reported. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
