Q9: Is it permissible to pray the Dhuha prayer as four or six rak'ahs with a single taslim, or not?
A9: The Dhuha prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah), and its minimum is two rak'ahs, with no limit to its maximum. It is best not to exceed eight rak'ahs, and one should say taslim after every two rak'ahs. It is not appropriate to combine them with a single taslim, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 1295Sahih (Al-Albani) . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
