The one who enters the mosque must pray the greeting of the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 14284 )
Q 1: Is it permissible or not for one who attends a religious lecture at a time other than prayer, while in a state of minor ritual impurity and having not prayed the greeting of the mosque because he is not in a state of ritual purity, given that I have heard some people say that you came to this mosque for the purpose of listening only, not for prayer?
A 1: It is prescribed for one who enters the mosque at times other than the prohibited times to perform the greeting of the mosque with two rak'ahs, whether he entered for the sake of prayer, to listen to a lecture, or for any other reason, when he intends to sit. It is obligatory for him to perform wudu' for the greeting of the mosque. As for the times in which prayer is prohibited, namely after the 'Asr prayer until sunset, and after the Fajr prayer until the sun has risen to the height of a spear, and while it is standing still, he should pray the greeting of the mosque, giving precedence to the hadiths commanding the greeting of the mosque. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
