The first question of Fatwa No. ( 18333 )
Q 1: What is the ruling on a woman saying “Ameen” behind the imam in the following cases: A- In the mosque with the congregation in prayer? B- At home where the congregation is established with a mahram?
A 1: It is permissible for a woman to pray with the men, being behind them, and she should be covered and not raise her voice in saying “Ameen” or otherwise, out of fear of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) arising from it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
