A woman washing her head from major ritual impurity while she is harmed by water

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 16444 )
Q1: How is a woman’s hair washed from major ritual impurity ? Knowing that I suffer from continuous pain in my head and the cold affects me because of that. Is it permissible for me to wipe over the hair without it reaching the skin? I ask for clarification on this.
A1 : It is obligatory for a woman to wash her head along with the rest of her body from major ritual impurity, menstruation, and post-natal bleeding. If washing her head results in harm
to her health, or causes her pain if she washes it, or a doctor advises against washing it, then she performs dry ablution with clean earth for it. Wiping over it is not valid unless it is covered with a bandage or covering that she needs to keep on it because of the illness; in that case, she wipes over what is on it, and wiping suffices in place of dry ablution. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
