I sold a piece of land before a lunar year had passed over it; is there zakah on it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I received a grant from the Royal Court of a piece of land for my wife, my sisters, and my children, and I sold it before a lunar year had passed over it. Is zakah due on it?
A: It is obligatory to pay zakah on the value of the aforementioned land if it remains until the completion of the lunar year with the intention of selling the land. In that case, each partner pays zakah on his share of it. However, if one has spent his share of the value before that, then no zakah is due on him.
