A fetus that has reached four months or more is subject to the rulings of the funeral prayer

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18671 )
Q 3: I had miscarriages of children, one at six months and the other at two months. I miscarried them and there was no one at home with me, so I dug holes near the house and buried them. After that, this place became a burial site, and I did not expect that place to be used for burial, knowing that the owners of the land do not know that there are children in that place. I do not know if I have committed a sin in that? Please inform me, may Allah reward you with good.
A 3: If a fetus has reached four months or more, it is subject to the rulings of the funeral prayer, including the obligation to wash it, shroud it, pray over it, and bury it in the cemetery. What you did regarding the fetus that had reached six months is a great error, and it is obligatory to dig it up if possible, carry its remains in a wrapping, and bury it in the public cemetery.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
