Combining prayers due to being occupied with teaching

Fatwa number ( 18600 )
Q: We are teachers, and the call to prayer for the midday and afternoon prayers is often made while we are occupied with the students, so we cannot interrupt the lesson. The lesson is bound by specific times that cannot be exceeded. What is the ruling on delaying these two prayers until just before the sunset prayer?
A: It is not permissible to delay the prayer from its time and combine it with what follows it except for a valid religious excuse, such as illness or travel. As for delaying it for the sake of teaching,
that is not an excuse, for it is obligatory for Muslims to set the class times in a way that does not conflict with the times of the obligatory prayers. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
