The imam of a mosque who does not stand for the Fajr prayer and wants no one to pray Fajr in the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 21030 )
Q 4: There is an imam of a mosque who does not stand for the Fajr prayer, and he wants no one to pray Fajr in the mosque ; because he lives in front of the mosque, until the matter reached the point where he bothers those believing worshippers, whose number varies between (3, 5, 4, 2...), no harm in that, and sometimes, by Allah, they do not call the adhan. As for the prayer, he tells us: "Pray as you see me (the imam) praying." So he extends his hands, while some fold them, and he does not raise his hands after the ruku', while some do raise them, and he raises his hands after every obligatory prayer, while some do not raise them, and he tells them: "Pray however I pray" — pardon this expression — because, by the Great Allah, we are suffering. He is in a village whose people are ignorant, he has a brother who is a teacher of the Noble Qur'an in the same village, and they have been in the same village for a period of about 17 years, and both of them are memorizers of the Book of Allah, but where is the problem? In all this time, they have not memorized it, nor has anyone, and no one has gained understanding of the religion, nor... nor... Also, I do not miss mentioning that when one of them dies, they go to recite the Qur'an over him for 3 days, and on the fortieth day, and they eat food and drink coffee, in addition to the fact that
this imam writes amulets and performs ruqyah and... So, for the sake of Allah, what is your response to this imam?

A 4: It is obligatory for men to pray the obligatory prayer in congregation in the mosque at its time, and it is obligatory for the imam to maintain attendance at the time and to lead the people in prayer; because he is a shepherd, a trustee, and responsible for his flock. He and the worshippers must adhere to the Sunnah in the manner of performing the prayer; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
offer your prayers in the way you saw me offering my prayersصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي
Sahih al-Bukhari 6008
, and that is by acting upon the authentic hadiths regarding the manner of his (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
