Fatwa number ( 19647 )
Q1: A woman gave birth on the ninth day of the blessed month of Ramadan. Nine days after the birth, the bleeding stopped, so she performed the full ritual bath and began praying and fasting. However, she notices that when night comes, a few drops of blood come out , and she sees nothing of that during the day. What is the ruling in this case, and are her prayer and fasting valid? Please give us a ruling, and may Allah reward you.
A : If this woman saw pure cleanliness, then her prayer
and fasting are valid; because she is in the category of those who are ritually pure, and the few drops of blood she sees at night are not considered post-natal bleeding, nor is it called blood, so it does not take the ruling of post-natal bleeding.
