What is the ruling on the prayers that he missed in the past years?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I say: What about the prayers and fasts that he missed in the past years that he mentioned?

The Shaykh : He owes no making up of them.

The questioner : He owes no making up of them?

The Shaykh : Yes, because Allah says
Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them قل للذين كفروا إن ينتهوا يغفر لهم ما قد سلف
[Al-Anfal 8:38]
.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : So as long as he abandoned them, he commits disbelief by abandoning the prayer, and a disbeliever is not obligated to make up the acts of worship he missed, as in this verse that was mentioned.

The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you with good.
