Q3: It is our nature, we girls, when we braid our hair, to put a decorative ribbon at the end of it, and we do not intend by this to extend our hair, so is this forbidden, and is it truly an extension of the hair?
Vol. 3: If it is not of the type of poetry or something similar to it, and it is not on
form that it appears to be an extension of the braid, then there is no harm in it, for what is forbidden is extending the hair with something that gives the impression that it is longer or more abundant than its reality. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
