Delaying the Maghrib Prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18002 )
Q 2: Is the one who delays the Maghrib prayer by a quarter of an hour or a third of an hour considered to have performed it in its time? And is the hadith which states: (That Jibril led our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the first part of the time and the last part of it; and he said: O Muhammad, the prayer is between these two times), is it authentic or not?
A 2: It is recommended to perform the Maghrib prayer in the first part of its time, and it is permissible to delay it from the beginning of its time. The hadith that Jibril led the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is an authentic hadith. al-Bukhari said: It is the most authentic thing regarding the times of prayer.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
