Innovations in Hajj and what is prescribed regarding the Sacred Ka'bah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 20551 )
Q: It has been observed that many people, after the washing of the Sacred Ka'bah , take some of the remaining washing water with the intention of healing and seeking blessing from it, and they also take the palm fronds from the brooms. There are also some people who cut threads from the cloth of the Ka'bah with the intention of seeking blessing . What is the ruling on this?
A: These mentioned actions are not permissible; because there is no evidence for them, and because they are means to shirk (associating partners with Allah). What is prescribed regarding the Sacred Ka'bah is facing it in prayer, circumambulating it, and respecting it without exaggeration or religious innovation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
