Fatwa No. ( 17334 )
Q: Books about the jinn have become widespread in offices and among people. So when a person is afflicted with possession, he goes to a ruqyah practitioner to have him treated. When the practitioner begins the recitation, the possessed person speaks, and the practitioner takes what the possessed person says and publishes it in their books, such as (The Journalistic Dialogue with the Muslim Jinn) by Mustafa Kanjur , and the book (Beware of the Dajjal, the False Messiah, Who Invades the World from the Bermuda Triangle) authored by Muhammad Isa Dawud , and other books that have become a scourge on homes. What is the ruling on this?
A: The Committee has previously studied this book (Journalistic Dialogue with a Muslim Jinn), and it was verified for us that it is a book based on a fabricated, false dialogue; therefore, it is not permissible to sell or publish it for that reason, and because of the harm and misguidance it contains for the minds of people. As for the book (Beware of the Dajjal, the False Messiah, Who Invades the World from the Bermuda Triangle), we have not looked into it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
