Panels for Attracting Profit

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 16138 )
Q: I seek your permission to attach a sample of some of the panels that some business owners hang in places of buying and selling, such as workshops and shops, believing that they attract profit and ward off loss, may Allah protect us from that.
A: It is not permissible to hang the aforementioned panel on shops, workshops, or the like, with the intention of attracting benefit or warding off harm; because believing that it attracts benefit or sustenance, or that it wards off harm or loss, is shirk (associating partners with Allah), as it is, in the state described, equivalent to hanging amulets. Hanging it is minor shirk, and it may be major shirk depending on what the person who hangs it believes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
